Potential der Thermischen-Biomasse-Dampf-Vergasung zur Erzeugung von Wasserstoff, synthetischem Erdgas, Strom und Fernwärme

Die Thermische Dampfvergasung von Biomasse bietet großes Potential hinsichtlich der Erzeugung von verschiedenen Produkten aus einem einzigen Einsatzstoff. The Zweibett-Wirbelschicht-Dampfvergasung von Biomasse erzeugt ein N2 freies Produktgas mit hohem Heizwert und einer volumetrischen Gaszusammensetzung von ca. 40 % H2, 25 % CO, 23 % CO2, 10 % CH4 und etwa 2 % höheren Kohlenwasserstoffen. Dieses Produktgas ist Ausgangspunkt für verschiedene Polygeneration Konzepte, die auf die Erzeugung von H2, synthetischem Erdgas, Strom, und Wärme abzielen. Dabei sollen nur Verfahren eingesetzt werden, die dem Stand der Technik entsprechen, z.B. Wassergas-Shift, Druckwechseladsorption oder Methanierung. Zusätzlich wäre es möglich CO und CO2 aus dem Produktgas abzutrennen, um diese Stoffe als Rohrstoff in der chemischen Industrie einzusetzen.

H2 ist als Einsatzstoff für die chemische Industrie sowie als zukünftiger Kohlenstofffreier Energieträger im Gespräch. Synthetisches Erdgas kann in bereits vorhandener Infrastruktur einfach gespeichert und verteilt werden. Strom kann durch Verbrennung des Produktgases in Gasmotoren erzeugt werden. Zusätzlich kann auch Wärme, die während des Vergasungsprozesses anfällt in einem ORC Prozess verstromt werden. Fernwärme kann durch Verbrennung des Produktgases sowie aus Überschusswärme des Vergasungsprozesses bereitgestellt werden.

Dieses Projekt zeigt, dass Biomasse für mehr als nur zur Erzeugung von Strom und Wärme eingesetzt werden kann. Vielmehr ist die Biomasse ein Einsatzstoff für die Erzeugung von Energieträgern bzw. von Rohstoffen für die chemische Industrie.
