Microgrid Research Laboratory

Highlight

The Microgrid Lab 100 % project has been launched to evaluate and further develop microgrids in a real-life environment under laboratory conditions. The project includes the planning and operation of the Microgrid Research Lab at Wieselburg, the monitoring of all energy consumers and suppliers (e.g. biomass boilers, photovoltaic systems, batteries, e-charging stations, absorption chillers), the development of test cycles and control and optimization algorithms. Microgrid Lab 100 % aims to establish a research laboratory for the implementation of optimization algorithms, real-time testing and ongoing development. The expertise acquired will be made available to institutions and companies seeking to develop innovative products and new services.
